How I work

Four steps, and you can stop after any of them.

The first is free. The second is paid because it comes with a deliverable. Nothing after that starts without a proposal you have approved.

1

A 15-minute initial call. Free.

The purpose of this first call is to get a quick sense of what you need support with, work out whether it is something I can help with, and explain what the next step would look like if it feels like a good fit. It is not a consulting session, and I will not pretend to solve anything in 15 minutes. If I am not the right fit I will tell you, and where I can I will point you to someone who is.

2

Where the actual work begins.

Discovery and Strategy Session, 60 minutes, $200, paid before the session is confirmed.

Before the session I ask you to fill in a short form about your business, systems, pain points and goals. I review it, we use the 60-minute session to unpack what is happening, and afterwards you get a project plan with my recommendations: what I would do first, what I can support with, and what the timeline could look like. You are not paying for a conversation. You are paying for clarity and a written pathway.

About the discovery session
3

A plan you can read in one sitting.

Your current situation, the needs I found, recommended priorities, the scope in and out, phases, deliverables, a timeline, and a monthly structure with a budget. Then you decide: go ahead, book more discovery time, pause, or decline. All four are fine.

4

Month to month, by the hour, with a cap.

Once you are happy with the proposal, I prepare a client service agreement. The proposal becomes part of it, so we are both clear on scope, priorities and timeline before work begins. My rate is $100 an hour, invoiced in your currency. Hours are capped each month at a level we agree, and anything over the cap needs your written OK first. I invoice fortnightly with a time report attached, so you always see what the hours went on.

Working together

A weekly call, and the thing built by the next one.

  • A regular call, usually weekly, that starts with how you are.
  • A recap in your inbox the same day: what we agreed, your list, my list, what is still open.
  • The actual thing built between calls: the policy, the tracker, the hiring package, the template.
  • A check, every few weeks, on what is being used, because a process that is not used does not count.

Flexibility

Life and family come first.

For ongoing clients, flexibility is built into our agreement, because plans change and I understand that. When cash flow is tight, we scale the work down, not the payment terms. For one-off sessions, rescheduling is fine with as much notice as you can give. A no-show with no communication cannot be rebooked. I value your time as much as my own and ask for the same in return.
